Life Skills Development Project Interim Report

Life Skills Development Project Year 2 Report

The Life Skills Development Project (LSDP) has been a true community collaboration to improve access to life skills training and increase people’s success in retaining housing. A number of key players have come together to contribute to the development of life skills in the community through the Project.

This group, now called the Life Skills Network, meets monthly to exchange information related to:

- life skills-related community information, collaboration to improve service, and share expertise;

- providing a platform for information sharing and collaboration when problem solving service needs for members’ various clientele;

- advise the Life Skills Coordinator on the ongoing running of My Place; and

- contribute expertise and time to the support and facilitation at My Place.

It makes sense to care.

… about changing policies that make it hard to find & keep housing. Getting ahead of the problem means savings in the long term with real change instead of temporary solutions.
